Berkshire senior Matt Pelletier became the latest in a long line of Badgers’ runners to sign with a Division I university when on Wednesday he inked a national letter of intent to attend Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. In his Berkshire career Pelletier has earned all-Ohio honors four times, twice each in cross country and track. As a sophomore he finished fifth in the 1,600-metter run at the 2010 state track meet and last spring was second in the 3,200-meter run. Pelleter twice has qualified for the state cross country meet and placed in the top eight both times. In 2010 he finished seventh and last fall he was eighth. This spring he'll attempt to close out his high school career with yet another all-Ohio placement. Pelletier signed his letter of intent on Wednesday accompanied by his parents and head coach, Julie Cole, and in front of many family, friends and Berkshire faculty.
