Badgers battle until the end

Facing a big deficit entering the second day of the Division II state golf tournament, Berkshire’s golf team battled through inclement weather to improve its score and leave the tournament on a positive note.

With an illness forcing one golfer to withdraw from Tuesday’s district tournament, Berkshire’s golf team all but was eliminated from next week’s state tournament. But, the Badgers wouldn’t be denied, not on a course they dominated earlier this season, and punched their ticket to Columbus.

The Berkshire golf team kicked off the postseason on Monday with a second place finish in the Division II Sectional Tournament at Quail Hollow Golf Course. The Badgers knocked off 17 strokes from last week's second place finish in the conference tournament on the same course.

Badgers settle for share of title

Berkshire’s boys’ golf team ended the regular season the same way it started it: with a second place finish to Kirtland. The Badgers hoped to use their one-stroke loss to the Hornets in the CVC preseason tournament as motivation for the season but came up one stroke short to the same team in Monday’s CVC postseason tournament.

Winning ways continue

Berkshire’s boys’ golf team opened the season in disappointing fashion, finishing second to Kirtland in the CVC Preseason Tournament. Since then, the Badgers have dominated their opponents. They have won three straight invitationals and are 4-0 in dual matches.
